The 2012 BMW Championship takes place at the Crooked Stick Golf Club in Carmel, Indiana, between 3rd and 9th September. The 70 best ranked players of the FedExCup ranking participate in the third playoff tournament of the PGA TOUR.
The BMW Championship winner will be presented the J.K. Wadley Trophy at the conclusion of the championship. His name is engraved on the sterling silver trophy that has been awarded to the champion since it was donated in 1923 by J.K. Wadley. Justin Rose is the defending champion. In 2011, the Englishman beat Australian John Senden in a gripping finale at Cog Hill Golf & Country Club.
