BMW ITALIAN OPEN.

The BMW Italian Open (9th to 12th June) will once again be organised by the Italian Golf Federation, the European Tour and BMW in 2011. The tournament was staged for the first time in 1925 and has been a permanent fixture on the European Tour since it was formed in 1972. The prize purse has been increased to 1.5 million Euros this year. England's Robert Rock (21 under par) completed a wire-to-wire victory in Turin to celebrate the first European Tour title of his career. The 34-year-old showed nerves of steel to finish one shot ahead of young Dane Thorbjorn Olesen and Gary Boyd from England.
