Built in 1997, the hallmark of this course is its aesthetic diversity: water, small valleys, undulating fairways and thick woodland define the Outeniqua. The short holes, with their many bunkers, provide a real challenge, whilst at the same time making a round on this course an extraordinary experience.
This is regarded as the more demanding of the two courses: some of the greens are very fast and are defended by numerous bunkers. The 17th hole was based on the 12th hole at Augusta. The entire course is framed by the magnificent backdrop of the Outeniqua Mountains and is characterised by water obstacles and large greens protected by bunkers.
