Everything you need to know.

Golf Club Gut Lärchenhof hosts the BMW International Open for the last time in 2018. But we are remaining true to one tradition this year: admission is free from Wednesday to Friday. The tournament site is open every day (Wednesday to Sunday) from 07:00. The Public Area is open every day from 21st June from 08:00 until the close of play.

 

Please note that there will be increased security checks in place across the whole golf course. Bag searches will also be performed on all event days.

 

Small handbags and backpacks are allowed. Travel bags and suitcases are prohibited. It is not possible to store them at the tournament grounds.

 

These measures are in place for your own safety. Thank you for your understanding if this leads to any waiting time. Always follow the instructions given by event organizers or security employees. Failure to do so will result in your ejection from the event grounds.

Use your day at the BMW International Open as a family outing, a shopping trip to the Public Area with its host of exhibitors, or follow your favourite player on his round.

DIRECTIONS & PARKING.

In the event of fine weather, it will be possible to park directly at the event venue. All visitors will be able to park free of charge on officially marked parking spaces.

 

Depending on the weather, there will be parking areas available at the event site. Please refer to www.bmw-golfsport.com before you depart, to get the latest information about the parking situation. If the parking areas at the event location are not accessible, overflow car parks will be available near the event location. These are open all day and shuttle buses will be provided.  

 

You have no entitlement to a parking space. Please follow the instructions of the car parking team. You will be assigned the next free parking space. The organiser will not be liable for any damage to cars in the car park. Visitors accessing the car parks do so at their own risk.

By car.

Golf Club Gut Lärchenhof can be reached from the nearby and Köln-Bockemünd (A1, exit 102) motorway exit. Please follow signs to the tournament.

  • By S-Bahn and free bus shuttle service.

    Take the local train (S-Bahn) line S11 to the Köln-Worringen station and use the free shuttle service to the tournament site. The buses will run continuously throughout the day at regular intervals, Thursday to Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to approx. 8:00 p.m.

  • Get there with DriveNow.
    BMW International Open DriveNow

    Arrive in comfort at the BMW International Open with DriveNow, the car-share service of the BMW Group and Sixt: During the tournament, DriveNow customers can park their BMW or MINI DriveNow vehicles in reserved car parks on the tournament site at no extra cost. As usual, they can then conveniently pick up a car from here for the journey home. Anyone wanting more to find out more about DriveNow, or not yet a customer, can also find information and register online or in the DriveNow tent on the tournament grounds.

  • Important information for visitors.

    Visitors entering the tournament venue do so at their own risk. In particular, the organiser will not be liable for injuries to visitors caused by stray golf balls hit by a player in the tournament. It is forbidden to bring along tape recorders, film and video cameras, animals, sharp objects and weapons. Please ensure your mobile phone is on silent and your flash functionality is switched off at all times. Mobile phone photography for personal use is permitted throughout the week in all areas of the course. Mobile phone video capture is allowed throughout the week in non-competition areas only, such as practice facilities and mobile phone zones. Failure to comply with these regulations will lead to the person being ejected from the event venue.

OFFICIAL TOURNAMENT APP.

The official 2018 BMW International Open mobile app was developed jointly by SAP and BMW. It allows immediate access to all relevant information about the tournament including player profiles and statistics, live scoring, and many more great features, to be best prepared for the event. With the Player Locator feature, fans will always know where their favourite player is on the course. Moreover, the interactive course map will guide spectators all over the course during the tournament. The 2018 BMW International Open mobile app is available in German and English, and both for iOS (Apple) and Android users.

Official pay TV partner Sky is, as usual, broadcasting all four days of the tournament live. Sport1 is broadcasting live on free TV on the weekend.
Highlights of all four days of the tournament and a live stream will also be available on sport1.de and golf.de, as well as a world feed of all four rounds. The highlights of the day will also be shown on n-tv.
